Perito Moreno

It’s diffucult grasping exactly how big this enormous glacier is, – we’re talking 300 km of ice 70 m above sea level, god knows how much below. The thing was, that it had been quite hot (for Patagonia,) and sometimes when hot pretty huge chunks of ice crashes down in the sea. We happened to catch one of those very powerful moments.

Perito Moreno is pretty easy accessible, you go there by bus and there’s not much hiking to do, but only going there to sit in the sun for a few hours watching this spectacle is well worth the time.
